Sensei Robert McInnes

Chief Instructor - 7th Dan Kyoshi - 2nd Dan Ryukyu Kobujutsu

Sensei Robert McInnes is a 7th Dan, Kyoshi (senior instructor & leader), currently celebrating his 50th year teaching karate in New Brunswick and is widely known as the founder of Karate in NB. He is the Technical Director for Chito-Ryu Karate in New Brunswick and sits on the National Technical Committee of the Canadian Chito-Ryu Karate Association and the World Chito-Ryu Karate Do Federation.


Sensei Neil Pond

Dojo Head - Shidoin - San Dan

Neil Pond is a 4th Dan, Shihan (master instructor), currently the club manager and most senior student of Sensei McInnes at KV Karate. Neil is a Karate Canada National “A” referee and judge and is the President of NB Chito-Ryu Karate Association and a director if the Canadian Chito-Ryu Karate Association. Neil is also a Director for Karate New Brunswick.  


Sensei Brent Donovan

Jun Shidion - San Dan - Kobujutsu Practitioner

Brent Donovan, a 3rd Dan, junshidoin (junior instructor) is another key instructor and leader in the club. Brent holds a Karate Canada “B” referee and judge license.
